Radisson Plaza Resort Tahiti
The newest resort on the island of Tahiti, the Radisson offers gorgeous rooms in simple wood and natural colors. All rooms feature a view of the ocean and the volcanic black sand beach of Matavai Bay. Rooms and suites are generously sized and offer all the modern amenities you desire. The spa here is fantastic. Allow for extra commute time to the airport or ferry terminal due to Papeete's traffic jams.

Intercontinental Resort Tahiti
This wonderful resort features a great location near the airport and downtown Papeete, yet offers a true tropical resort feel. There is an extensive lagoon area and several pools, and one of the few resorts in Papeete with overwater bungalows. Plus, the view of Moorea is exceptions. This is the largest resort complex in Papeete, with 263 rooms.

 

Le Meridien Tahiti
Beachfront, convenient to downtown and the airport, this is a great choice for a night or two in Papeete. Plus, the chef here is fantastic! Rooms are fresh and airy, and the grounds are gorgeous.

 

Hilton Hotel Tahiti Resort and Spa (formerly the Sheraton)
Just three miles to the airport, and on the beach, an excellent choice for honeymooners staying one or two nights in Papeete, within easy distance to the downtown marketplace.

 

Sofitel Maeva Beach
A moderate-upscale hotel situated on the beach. Take LeTruck to shop downtown. Recently renovated rooms are welcoming in bright limes and oranges. The downside to this hotel is that the layout of the room and furnishings is a bit cumbersome, and the pool and beach are minimal compared to the other upscale resorts in Papeete.
